turn turn turn

The weather is turning. The leaves are turning. My fingers are itching.

No, not some weird rash – they’re itching for more cowbell … I mean knitting needles. I can’t imagine knitting in the summer. I am hot and sticky and the last thing I want is something warm and snuggly on my lap. That pisses the dog off too.

Instead of hanging up Emma’s curtains (there were three not so easy steps on those instructions!) I am browsing Ravelry while the triplets are (not) napping. Scarves. Cute hats. Fingerless gloves. Nothing is safe.

We did get some house stuff accomplished this month. Behold. Emma’s room. Wear shades.

It ain't easy being green...

The color is Honeydew (Behr) although I don’t know if I would really eat a honeydew this color fearing it grew up near that nuclear power plant in Japan.

She absolutely loves it and that is what matters. Polka dots have been ordered from Etsy and soon she won’t have to share a room with her very annoying 6 year old sister.

Oh, and I have been informed that things are no longer “lame” they are “cheesy.” I suppose I like cheesy instead of lame. I am sure things will be lame again soon enough. I feel older and older each and every single day.

On the other hand, my mom came home with a purple cast on her ankle. Broken because she missed the last step going down in the dark. Currently guilting James into putting another light switch at the bottom of the stairs. We’ll see if it works.

Forget knitting. I am totally taking a nap. The triplets have calmed down and might be sleeping (like I am going to check! I don’t want to ruin a good thing!!). Plus, Maggie (the awesome cat) is meowing at me, begging me to cuddle with her. How can I say no?
