Tonight we’re watching the Scripps National Spelling Bee on ABC. We cut the cord, the cable cord that is. They done pissed James off and so, we canceled the cable tv and VOIP through them. We kept the internet because we’re addicts.
So, back to tonight and rewinding a bit…. A year ago and a couple of days, James and I were watching the 2008 version of the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Numbnuts won and the next day the babies were born.
I am completely blown away that it’s been a year. A year when all hell broke loose and no one got Christmas cards. We haven’t really even planned a birthday part for them. I had wanted to do it at a park in my hometown, but the rental prices for the pavilions is way out of our price range, the price range being free of course.
So, yeah, I suck as a mom. Big time.
My thyroid is on the higher level of normal and my doctor doesn’t want to increase my meds because it’s still within the normal range. Only thing is, I am tired all the damn time and my hair is falling out. He thinks it’s due to stress, which it totally could be, but I know my body and my thyroid is off. Finding a doctor to listen to me is out of the question since I barely have time in the day to take a poo.
We’re still on track with the house. Last weekend James and I tore out all of the sheet rock from the house, leaving the bathroom walls intact. There was something cathartic about ripping up the house where shitty things happened. There were good memories too, but they always seem to get lost in the mayhem that was my childhood. Just like you remember the insults but forget the compliments far too quickly.
For now, I am going to enjoy my 2 channels that we get on our antenna ontop of the house (along with the couple of other mnior channels that are with them). Thank god for Netflix’s Watch Instantly!
